Thales - AN/VRC-111 Vehicle Adapter Amplifier

The AN/VRC-111 Vehicle Adapter Amplifier (VAA) consists of two AN/PRC-148s, two Vehicle Adapters, and an interface tray that directly mounts with a standard SINCGARS mounting tray. It leverages equipment designed, developed, and tested under a Department of Defense official program of record, minimizing risk in fielding this new configuration. The VAA provides a common solution for vehicular and dismounted communications in response to the U. S. Military's critical need for additional SINCGARS and addresses operational commanders' needs for multiband communications for connectivity and operations in urban environments.
