24" MIL Intellitube® functions normally in two installation modes: direct-wire (ballast not required) and direct-fit (compatible with ballasts). In direct-fit mode, it can replace an existing fluorescent lamp and run off the existing ballast. In the event of a ballast failure, in direct-wire mode, it will provide optimal efficiency and eliminate any dependence on a ballast.
