The MBITR2, the next generation Multiband Inter/Intra Team Radio, builds on the legacy of the smallest, lightest, most power-efficient multiband, tactical, handheld radio in use today. By leveraging technologies based on the leading narrowband AN/PRC-148 tactical handheld radio and the leading wideband AN/PRC-154 tactical handheld radio, the MBITR2 provides the dismounted warfighter with the ability to integrate into the wideband tactical IP and voice network via the Soldier Radio Waveform (SRW) wideband channel while simultaneously maintaining legacy reach back via the narrowband channel Ð two radios in one form factor. The MBITR2 retains interoperability with existing fielded radios and addresses tomorrow's requirements for a next generation, wideband, networking handheld radio. A low-risk and cost-effective approach to fielding is provided through an upgrade path for the more than 200,000 AN/PRC-148s currently deployed. Further, the common look and feel of the MBITR2 minimizes training, provides for common logistics support, and retains compatibility with the existing installed base of ancillaries.

The AN/PRC-154A Rifleman Radio is a lightweight, rugged, body worn radio that transmits voice and data simultaneously utilizing the Soldier Radio Waveform. It brings secure inter-squad networked communications to the soldier at the tactical edge of the battlefield network. The radio allows self-forming, ad hoc, voice and data networks and enables any leader at the tactical level to track individual soldier Position Location Information, giving dismounted soldiers a much-needed situational awareness capability. The AN/PRC-154A Rifleman Radio is capable of providing soldiers with access to the government's classified networks at the Secret level and below. The functionality of the Rifleman Radio is critical for the DoD's plan to build out a ubiquitous tactical communications network to facilitate voice and data communications interconnectivity anywhere around the globe.

The Mission Module concept integrates Thales' AN/PRC-148 JEM handheld radios and Full Motion Video Receivers into an FMVR Mission Module form factor. This single device approach reduces the size and weight burden of the warfighter and provides the ability to receive Full Motion Video from ISR assets on the fly as the mission dictates. Users currently carry multiple radios to maintain access to legacy narrowband waveforms and wideband Full Motion Video downlinks from assets such as UAVs. As an 'add-on" module to the currently fielded AN/PRC-148 radios, the FMVR-MMs eliminate the need to introduce a separate and dedicated FMV ground terminal receiver and provide mission-specific extended capability to the user.

The Modular Universal Battery Charger (MUBC) is a state-of-the-art scalable charging system that provides the ability to charge a wide range of military and commercial batteries and also provides for the addition of new batteries through software upgradeability and an innovative modular design. The base unit weighs less than 6 pounds, is small enough to be carried in a ruck sack, and is rugged enough to be vehicle mounted. The unit can also be cascaded with an identical unit to double the base unit charging capability. This system is based on technology from field-proven trials and allows charging while under heavy rain and other harsh environmental conditions. The system is optimized to provide the warfighter with the ability to harvest power from a wide variety of sources solar as well as a variety of other power sources. The MUBC combines the functions and capabilities of multiple battery chargers in one small, scalable package versus multiple standard chargers. It provides battery charging technology to the warfighter through a highly rugged, field-deployable, multi-battery modular solution for austere mission environments. The AN/VRC-111 Dual Channel 50-Watt Vehicle Adapter Amplifier (VAA) is a COTS/NDI electrical and mechanical fixture combining the functionality of the battle-proven AN/PRC-148 radios and the Vehicle Adapter into a system that offers an alternative to existing SINCGARS vehicular installations. The AN/VRC-111 Dual Channel 50-Watt VAA system comprises two Vehicle Adapter units with two AN/PRC-148s affixed on a mounting tray that installs on a standard MT-6352/VRC or MT-6352A/VRC Electrical Equipment Mounting Base and a dual channel 50-Watt Power Amplifier Unit that installs on a standard MT-6353/VRC RF Power Amplifier Mounting Base. Users can dismount the radio from the VAA within two seconds - cable free, fully charged, and immediately operational.

The AN/VRC-111 Vehicle Adapter Amplifier (VAA) consists of two AN/PRC-148s, two Vehicle Adapters, and an interface tray that directly mounts with a standard SINCGARS mounting tray. It leverages equipment designed, developed, and tested under a Department of Defense official program of record, minimizing risk in fielding this new configuration. The VAA provides a common solution for vehicular and dismounted communications in response to the U. S. Military's critical need for additional SINCGARS and addresses operational commanders' needs for multiband communications for connectivity and operations in urban environments. The AN/PRC-148 Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Enhanced Multiband Inter/Intra Team Radio, or JEM, is an evolution of the combat-proven AN/PRC-148 MBITR. The Tactical Repeater is a suitcase configuration that houses two vehicle adapters functioning together as a repeater. It integrates AN/PRC-148 and AN/PRC-148 Vehicle Adapter designs, significantly increasing the range performance of VHF/UHF radio net operations when extended radio linkage is required or where obstacles are present that normally preclude line-of-sight communications.

The power-boosting Base Station for the combat-proven AN/PRC-148 family of radios provides a cost-effective fixed site configuration. The Base Station provides 20 Watts of RF power amplification across the full 30-512 MHz frequency band while allowing for a wide range of AC and DC input power sources. With a common human machine interface, users familiar with any of the AN/PRC-148 family products can immediately operate the Base Station. The Modular Bulk Charger (MBC) is a bulk charger solution for charging multiple U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) batteries including Thales' family of tactical handheld radios, AN/PRC-152, AN/PRC-163, BB-2590, and others. The MBC reduces the logistic footprint and costs when charging large numbers of batteries. The MBC is designed using a modular charging cup concept to allow charging combinations of multiple DoD batteries. The charger's architecture is based on the fielded Universal Battery Charger (UBC) with the same familiar and simple user interface. Because the MBC uses the same architecture as the UBC, it provides all advanced features provided by the UBC. The MBC operates from both AC and DC with cables provided with each system. It provides eight USB ports for charging Smart Phones and Tablets.

Thales - ClearConnect Vehicle Package (C2VP) is a low-risk data communications solution that interfaces with robotic air, ground, and water-borne vehicles to generate and distribute critical, real-time assured communications across infantry platoons and leadership for fast, reliable decision-making that reduces risk to soldiers and improves mission effectiveness. C2VP also features technology insertions that demonstrate the ability to host robotic Artificial Intelligence (AI) Virtual Machines (VMs); onboard encoding and transcoding technology to move streaming video through the network; a user interface and network health API; and an LPI/LPD transport layer. The internal battery charger recharges the Lithium-Ion battery of the radio, allowing a user to dismount the radio from the VA fully charged and immediately operational. The Removable Control Head with LCD display provides remote control of all radio functions and includes a microphone and a connector for an audio accessory.
